Pooja Ghatalia, MD
The Fox Chase Cancer Center announced the hiring of Pooja Ghatalia, MD, as Assistant Professor in the Department of Hematology/Oncology. Dr. Ghatalia joined the faculty after graduating from a 3-year hematology/oncology fellowship and started in her new position on July 1.
Dr. Ghatalia is a researcher with specific interest in renal cancer and has done much work aimed at identifying immune gene signatures to predict which patients with localized renal cancer might experience a recurrence.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Dr. Ghatalia to our faculty” said Elizabeth Plimack, MD, Chief of Genitourinary Medical Oncology at Fox Chase Cancer Center. “She has already shown a great deal of promise as a physician and scientist. We look forward to building on that foundation and having her as part of our multidisciplinary patient care team.” ■
