The theme of the 2018 meeting is: Innovative Solutions. Best Practices. Excellence in Cancer Research. This year’s keynote address will be given by ASCO President-Elect Howard A. “Skip” Burris III, MD, FACP, FASCO. The meeting will facilitate discussions on a variety of pressing topics for oncology clinical trial sites, ranging from improving efficiencies and performance to increasing patient accrual to clinical trials. In addition to hearing from peers and leaders in the field, meeting attendees will have an opportunity to connect with colleagues from across the country during a networking event and small group discussions. The first day of the meeting will feature a workshop to provide participants with best practices and practical tools on building and optimizing clinical trial sites and running an effective research program. General sessions on the second day will feature multistakeholder panel discussions, presentations, and breakout discussions on a variety of topics impacting cancer research sites, including:

  • Improving efficiencies across the clinical trial enterprise
  • Reducing site burden and expediting clinical trial start-up
  • Impending regulatory changes for clinical trials
