The FDA Drug Information Soundcast in Clinical Oncology (DISCO) is a new podcast series from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) Oncology Center of Excellence (OCE), covering new product approvals, emerging safety information for cancer treatments, and other current topics in cancer drug development.

DISCO was inspired by meetings with community oncologists, who indicated a need for easy-to-access information about new drug approvals and other topics. Richard Pazdur, MD, OCE Director, explains in an introductory podcast that he thought it was important to get concise, timely information out to patients with cancer and their treating physicians. The podcast is hosted by two FDA oncologists, Abhilasha Nair, MD, and Sanjeeve Bala, MD.

The podcast is available on the Oncology Center of Excellence website at www.FDA.gov/OCE and on iTunes. The OCE will announce new installments on its Twitter account @FDAOncology.
