Media technology company, MAZ, has partnered with Harborside, a medical communications company based in Huntington, New York, to launch OncologyGo, a streaming-event coverage and video content app for specialists in oncology health care available on Apple TV, Roku, FireTV, and iOS.
Harborside created OncologyGo as an app for mobile and smart TVs as an aggregate of current and relevant news and information about clinical oncology for the medical professional, with easy on-the-go viewing on mobile devices and TV. OncologyGo hosts videos on a variety of subjects, including information about various cancer types, news from the latest oncology meetings, and discussions between thought leaders in the field.
MAZ was built for publishers like Harborside in mind. With an emphasis on the power of a cohesive cross-platform content strategy, the utilization of both an app for mobile devices and smart TVs is the best way to reach audiences wherever and whenever. Users can choose to save videos for later or even sync content between devices so they can begin on mobile and finish watching on TV or vice versa.
“Clinical advances in oncology are happening at a rapid pace, and staying current with the news is a challenge for the most seasoned experts in the field,” said Conor Lynch, Executive Editor at Harborside. “We’re delighted to be working with MAZ on OncologyGo, which will deliver relevant and meaningful video content to health-care providers whenever and wherever they want it.”
“Harborside is already doing so much in the areas of medical journalism that they cover. They had such important and valuable video content for OncologyGo, MAZ is simply the technology that makes it run smoothly on all these devices,” said Mike Ram, Vice President of Business Development at MAZ.
