Cleveland Clinic Names Halle Moore, MD, Director of Breast Medical Oncology, Adds New Staff Physicians

Halle Moore, MD, has been named Director of Breast Medical Oncology and Co-Director for the Comprehensive Breast Cancer Program at Cleveland Clinic. She will start her role in January 2020.

Dr. Moore joined Cleveland Clinic in 1999 and specializes in the medical management of breast cancer. Her research focuses on breast cancer treatment and issues related to cancer survivorship. She was Lead Investigator and author of The New England Journal of Medicine publication of the POEMS study, which demonstrated a method for protecting ovarian function during chemotherapy treatment for breast cancer in young women.

In addition, Cleveland Clinic has added the following new staff physicians: Shilpa Gupta, MD; Khaled Hassan, MD; Suneel Kamath, MD; and Elizabeth Weinstein, MD.

Dr. Gupta joins the Cleveland Clinic Genitourinary Cancer Program with a focus on bladder cancer. She was previously a faculty member in the Division of Hematology, Oncology, and Transplantation at the University of Minnesota.

Dr. Hassan joins the Cleveland Clinic’s Thoracic Cancer Program. Prior to this new role, he was Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Michigan.

Dr. Kamath joins the Cleveland Clinic’s Gastrointestinal Cancer Program. He comes to Cleveland Clinic from Northwestern University, where he was the Hematology and Medical Oncology Chief Fellow.

Dr. Weinstein joins the Cleveland Clinic’s Palliative Medicine Program. Previously, she was Associate Medical Director of the Hospice of the Western Reserve.
