The American College of Cardiology's (ACC)'s specialty journal JACC: CardioOncology invites fellows and trainees to participate in a journal club to explore influential cardiovascular and cardiooncology studies shaping clinical practice. The next event takes place November 18, 2026, at 11:00 AM EST and focuses on HER2-positive targeted therapy: Cardiovascular risk—Epidemiology and monitoring.
Through a dynamic suite of resources such as curated slide decks, expert author interviews, and interactive live discussions, the group’s journal club highlights notable articles and emerging thematic trends across cardiovascular medicine. With both live and on‑demand access, the platform brings research to life and supports deeper learning, critical thinking, and meaningful engagement.
For the next event on November 18, join moderators and JACC: CardioOncology speciality content editors Yvonne Koop, PhD, and Sivatharshini Ramalingam, MD, to learn how emerging evidence on risk stratification and cardiac surveillance may help clinicians identify patients who warrant closer monitoring, as well as those who may safely receive less intensive surveillance, supporting more individualized approaches to cardiovascular care during cancer treatment. Faculty will include: Anthony Yu, MD, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center; Abdelrahman Ali, MD, The University of Texas Medical Branch; Anita Deswal, MD, MPH, MBBS, University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center; and Alexandra Thomas, MD, Duke Cancer Institute.
